Representatives from the help desk, the online education team, and our campus's back-end support will be available to answer any questions you may have about the support process, what type of support is available, and any general questions. |

Chad Oliver Then this workshop is for you! Sick of calling the help desk to change your password? In this session we will go over SUNY Delhi's new Self-Service Password Management tool and how it will interact with users and Moodle. Attendees will learn how to sign into the new tool as well as change their password and recover forgotten passwords. All without logging into a domain computer or calling the help desk. |
Considering Closure in Online Teaching
Lisa Tessier, Monica Liddle, Liz Frisbee James Lang's (2016) book Small Teaching: Everyday Lessons from the Science of Learning suggests that little changes in teaching based on the science of learning can yield big gains in how we help students learn. Spring from this research, we will discuss the importance of "closure" ad a variety of scales (eg lesson-, unit-, and semester-levels) in an online classroom. Creative online techniques will be shared, and opportunities will be provided for participants to brainstorm applications in their own classes. |

Study Blue for Inside and Outside the Classroom Learning
William Meredith Study Blue allows instructors and students the ability to create flash cards and other study guides that can be accessed both online and through the Study Blue app. Students can access flashcards and other study guides on the go with smartphones or other internet-ready devices. |

Integrating i>clicker with Moodle
Vincent Basile The i>clicker is a device which allows a teacher to ask a question from the application of their choice; the students are then able to answer by the click of a button from their i>clicker remote, tablet, or cell phone. the results are immediately uploaded into the i>clicker gradebook, which can then be imported into Moodle. The i>clicker is a great way of collecting data in classrooms or lecture halls in which students don't have access to computers. |

This panel will share ideas about how freely-available tools can be used to engage students including the use of audio, video, mobile apps, collaborative spaces, and more. The session will also focus on enhancements to TOEP, which include sections about gamification, ePortolios, and the use of social media in flipped and online learning. Anyone is able to take advantage of the many resources available on the TOEP website. |
